RAPID stabilization of hemorrhage is critical to reducing blood loss and associated morbidity in uncontrolled bleeding. Current hemostats recommend holding at least three minutes of compression during which time significant blood loss may occur. There is a need for a hemostat that can control bleeding in a shorter time than today’s treatments and yet is stable, affordable and easy to use.

It has proved itself to be an effective emergency hemostatic dressing and able to control traumatic hemorrhage as experienced in emergency service and military field applications. It is easy to use and carry and has been shown in laboratory testing to be effective in
clotting hypothermic blood.
